- Dr. Michael Muszynski is a retired pediatric infectious disease specialist in Longwood, FL. He had a 15-year tenure as a founding Orlando Regional Campus dean for the Florida State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital/Ohio State University, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the Children's Hospital of Oklahoma. He also studied as a Harvard-Macy Scholar. His additional professional experience includes being Associate Dean for Clinical Research, overseeing all clinical research at Florida State University. Before that, he was the Academic Chairman of Pediatrics at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Pediatric Residency Program Director, founder of the Peds ID Division, and a member of the founding medical staff of Arnold Palmer Hospital. He is experienced in pediatric viral infections, clinical research, clinical microbiology, and medical education administration. Dr. Muszynski is a Fellow of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He remains active in serving on community boards, county commissions, editorial boards, and as media ID spokesperson for local and state news networks.
