Summary
- I am the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and UC San Diego School of Medicine and a professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
My expertise lies in the treatment of complex pediatric brain tumors and cerebrovascular malformations. I am also involved with the design and utilization of endoscopy and three- dimensional imaging technologies to facilitate surgery and I an advisor for the National Hydrocephalus Association, as well as a board member for the Autism Tree Project Foundation, INCA, Stemedica, Holy Innocents Hospital, Mbarara, Uganda, and Going the Distance.
When not practicing medicine, I work with the National Football League as an unaffiliated sideline physician and for the NFL Players Association as a surgical consultant.
