He received his Medical Degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2017. He then did 5 years of surgical residency and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He additionally did two years of Research Fellowship focusing on pediatric liver tumors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During which time, he is published on greater than 20 papers and multiple book chapters.
Mike is board certified by the American Board of Surgery (2025) and is a Texas Medical Board Licensed surgeon. He was previously licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board.
During his time in medical school, he served as the elected Class President for the largest medical school class in the nation and established local community development funds. He also received a merit-based scholarship of $130,000 to cover his full medical school tuition.
Mike additionally holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from Purdue University, where he also minored in Chemistry.
