• Michael Hooker, D.O., internal medicine physician board certified by ACOI, hospitalist, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Acute Care ThedaCare Health System in Appleton, Wisconsin. Certified Epic Physician Builder since 2015, elected two terms as Department Chair of Internal Medicine before becoming CMO. Extensive work in development and implementation of a novel hospitalist model in 2017 with significant improvements noted in patient satisfaction, LOS, observation rates, CPOE, readmission rates, documentation improvement, as well as physician satisfaction. Current driving focus includes assisting physicians to make EHR work for them--easier, more efficient and accurate--as well as continue to improve hospital efficiency and patient safety, and ongoing hospitalist program development.
