Summary
- Dr. Freedman was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. After graduating from Springbrook High School, he moved to Ann Arbor and received his Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Michigan majoring in psychology and biology. He subsequently earned a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University before enrolling at Hahnemann University Medical School in Philadelphia (now Drexel University).
While in medical school in Philadelphia, Dr. Freedman led a group which built the largest student-run healthcare system for homeless and was awarded then-President George Bush's 807th Daily Point of Light.
Shortly after moving to Annapolis, MD to begin practice, Dr. Freedman joined and soon thereafter, took over the Annapolis Outreach Clinic, providing free healthcare to the underserved. While there, he grew the program over 10 years from 12 physicians to 125 docs and expanded care to include free surgeries, specialists visits and labs totally over 6,500 visits per year--all at no charge.

In 2013, Dr. Freedman founded Evolve Medical Clinics, now better known as Evolve Direct Primary Care. Evolve has grown rapidly and has received numerous accolades including Capital Gazette's Readers Choice 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Winner as well as Baltimore Business Journal's Innovator of the Year Award. Evolve continues to earn nothing but 5 star reviews on Yelp, Google and Facebook.
