Dr. Dolinger received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his pediatric residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Long Island, New York, where he then served as chief resident of pediatrics. He completed his clinical fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he also served as the first pediatric chief fellow for the department of pediatrics. After completion of his clinical fellowship, he completed his advanced inflammatory bowel disease fellowship at Icahn Mount Sinai before beginning as assistant professor of pediatrics and associate fellowship program director in the division of pediatric gastroenterology. During his fellowship training, Dr. Dolinger became the first gastroenterology fellow in the United States to be trained and certified to perform intestinal ultrasound for inflammatory bowel disease activity monitoring. Dr. Dolinger is now the director of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He has co-founded the Intestinal Ultrasound Group of the United States and Canada (iUSCAN) and now leads global training, education, and research efforts on the use of intestinal ultrasound as a non-invasive monitoring tool in inflammatory bowel disease care.
