Summary
- I am a board certified Emergency Physician serving the communities in and surrounding Portland, Oregon. I completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. I received my Emergency Medicine residency training from the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI (on W. Grand Boulevard across the street from Motown Records’ original location).
My first practice location after training was with the Wake Forest University Department of Emergency Medicine in the cities of Greensboro, Lexington, High Point, and Reidsville, NC. These settings covered the spectrum from high volume Level 2 trauma centers in a multi-university city to single coverage rural emergency departments.
Currently at work serving the populations in and around the city of Portland, OR (community emergency medicine).
I genuinely engage my patients in shared decision making, believing that most people can understand enough of what I understand in medicine and healthcare to have a choice and a voice in how their care is delivered. These moments of teaching, listening to, connecting with, and empowering my patients to make medical decisions with me whenever possible bring me immense fulfillment. Satisfied patients make me very happy.
