Summary
- I am a Physician Assistant specializing in Neurology since 2009 with Endeavor Health NorthShore University Health System.
For over fifteen years, my career as a physician assistant has exemplified my skills in being detail-oriented and following through with patient care and collaboration with physicians and co-workers.
In neurology, I’ve gained the experience and know-how when it comes to providing access to patients when urgent care is needed. For example, I was able to diagnose and expedite care for a patient with myasthenia gravis after having waited for several months for an evaluation. It was gratifying to see the patient later improved and feeling better after initiating treatment.
I have a passion for education in neurological disorders, not just for patients but also for colleagues in non-neurological specialties or students in healthcare professions. I’ve enjoyed teaching lumbar puncture procedures to students and residents and see them succeed when they’re able to do it themselves. I anticipate my new role as lead advanced practice provider for the department of neurology will continue to build upon these relationships so that we can continue to provide the best neurological care for our patients, enhance workflows between the physicians and other team members, and education for the community.
