Dr. Melissa Aberg West is a board certified practicing psychiatrist in North Alabama longterm care and assisted living facilities. She received her BS in Psychology and Premedicine from Duke University, received a medical degree from University of South Alabama College of Medicine, completed residency from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and started practice in 1987. Dr. WestShe is experienced in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, Obsessive Compulsive disorder, medical and substance use comorbidities, and neurocognitive disorders.
