Summary
- I am a board-certified general internist and physician-investigator with a research focus on multimorbidity (coexistence of multiple chronic conditions), including its measurement, management, prevention, prognosis, and policy implications. I am particularly interested in identifying modifiable risk factors that may be translated into clinical and public health interventions to 1) optimize patient care, and 2) prevent or delay multimorbidity onset, progression and complications at the point of clinical care.
I also have longstanding clinical and research interests in nutrition and chronic disease prevention. I have published on the associations between vitamin D and colorectal cancer, adenoma, and other health outcomes using meta-analyses, as well as other nutrient-disease associations.
