Summary

  • I am a board certified dermatologist practicing in Richmond, Virginia. I am proud to have been awarded the 2017 First Place winner for Best Bedside Manner among dermatologists in Richmond (Our Health Magazine).

In addition to my private practice, I serve as a clinical instructor at Alderson Broaddus University, instructing and mentoring physician assistant students. I am a regular physician volunteer at Health Brigade (formerly known as the Fan Free Clinic), a free medical clinic for the most underserved and marginalized populations in the Richmond area. I have also participated in volunteer medical trips to South Africa and the Dominican Republic.

I served as a contributor to Belle, a Richmond women's magazine, and to The Health Journal, a health and wellness magazine serving the greater Tidewater, Virginia area. I have contributed insights to the Chicago Tribune and the Montreal Gazette among other national newspapers.

I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond. I earned a law degree from the University of Virginia and an MD from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine in 2002, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. I completed my internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at VCU Medical Center, where I served as Chief Resident.
