- Dr. Melissa Iammatteo is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who works as a Medical Director in Medical Affairs at Regeneron. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where she graduated second in her class. She subsequently earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Iammatteo completed her Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she also served as a Clinical Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and subsequently completed her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Iammatteo served as the founding Director of the Chemotherapy and Biologic Agent Desensitization Program at Montefiore Medical Center prior to joining Westmed Medical Group, where she served as the Chief of Allergy and Immunology and Chair of Medical Specialties. Her nationally recognized research focuses on the development of safe protocols for the evaluation of drug allergy. Two of her first-authored publications were selected as one of the year’s best articles published in the field of Allergy and Immunology at the ACAAI’s Annual Scientific Meeting. Dr. Iammatteo was featured twice in New York Times Magazine’s Diagnosis column.
