Summary

• My career spans over 14 years in healthcare delivery, and has allowed me to develop expertise in health IT, project management, program development, and the clinical academic enterprise from a variety of perspectives. I have implemented health IT and telemedicine projects since 1998, working closely with software engineers to develop Internet-based software applications and websites. Clinically I have practiced as a board certified emergency medicine (EM) physician for 14 years, teaching at an Emergency Medicine residency program for 10 years. I am very familiar with the clinical practice management through 3 years as a Division of Emergency Medicine Finance Director. As a researcher, I am experienced in grantsmanship, clinical research, presentation and publication. Additionally, I gained extensive experience in supervision of ethics in clinical trials, having served over 5 years on an academic Institutional Review Board. I am conversant with academic medicine internationally having consulted and presented in university hospitals in the UK, Nigeria and South Africa. Finally, from 2003 to 2005, as a medical school Assistant Dean, I managed curriculum implementation and review, faculty development, and initiatives for pre-clinical and clinical academic excellence.
