She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. Her medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine, internship at Sinai Grace Hospital and ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute all in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Mihlstin has been serving the community of Saginaw since 2019. She is very passionate about preserving vision and focusing on providing the highest quality of care for her patients. Her exceptional training and extensive experience have made her a strong surgeon, specializing in the latest techniques in cataract, advanced technology lenses and micro-invasive glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Mihlstin is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Anterior Segment and Cataract Refractive Surgery, the Young Professionals Network at the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce and the Saginaw County Medical Society.
In her free time, Dr. Mihlstin enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, raising her four children and sharing a passion for aviation with her husband.
