- I am originally from beautiful home town, city of Antalya in Turkey. Graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine in English in 1993. Did one year internhip in internal medicine at the Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine and came to USA in 1994 and completed internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia/VCU. I pursued the prestigious American Heart Association Bugher Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine/Michael DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center (4 years) in Houston, TX. I did my two year interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, in San Antonio, TX under the mentroships of Dr. Marc Feldman, Dr. Steven Bailey and Dr. Julio Palmaz. in 2010, I did complete a formal one year dedicated one year Structural Heart Interventions Fellowship under the mentorship of the World Renowed Dr. Ted Feldman at the North Shore University in Evanston, IL. My areas of interests are intrvascular imaging of plaque using the novel intravascular optical tomography, novel device development and complex structural heart interventions. Have received multimillion dollars in research funding with several patents and research awards. I not only work with one but multiple Universities and Medical Schools in the World.
