Megha Shankar, MD is an internal medicine physician, health services researcher, and medical educator whose goal is to promote health equity in medicine. Clinically, Dr. Shankar practices primary care for adults with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. As a health services researcher, Dr. Shankar uses mixed methods approaches and implementation science; her research focuses on trauma-informed care, reproductive health equity, Veteran postpartum care, HPV vaccination in immigrant communities, and health equity in medical education. Within medical education, Dr. Shankar leads trauma informed care, refugee health, and social justice and advocacy curricula.
