In 2007, joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, ultimately reaching the rank of Presidential Professor of Medicine
During his tenure at OU, he held the position of the Vice Chief of the cardiovascular section and served as the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology
Mazen is very dedicated to teaching and training future physicians and served as the Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency at OU
