Summary
- There is a need for a new perspective in addressing cardiovascular risk in clinical practice tailored to each individual patient that accounts for gender, race/ethnicity, and genetic probability of atherosclerotic disease progression. Beginning in medical school and through residency and postdoctoral training, I had the privilege of conducting research in both basic science and clinical settings. I have been involved in both industry- and investigator-initiated protocols and have authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles. I am Board certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Lipidology. My goal is to establish a career in Cardiovascular Genomics on the intersection of genetics, informatics, and imaging, helping patients on their individual journey of cardiovascular risk prevention.
