Summary

Dr. Matthew Rivera is a Family Medicine physician based in Dunkirk, NY, with subspecialties in Obstetrics and Complementary and Integrative Medicine. He earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in 2018 and has a diverse educational background, including studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Theological Studies. Dr. Rivera completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester and gained additional integrative medicine training through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Currently, he serves as a Family Physician at The Chautauqua Center Dunkirk and the Cassadaga Job Corps Center. His clinical expertise includes fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, and musculoskeletal pain, among others. He has contributed to publications on professionalism in medical education and received several honors, including the Pediatric Mental Health Training Award in 2022 and the John F. Beard Award in 2018.
