- Matthew Konerman is a Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Michigan Frankel Cardiovascular Center. He is a co-director of the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction Clinic at the Cardiovascular Center.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He received his training in cardiovascular disease as well as advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the University of Michigan.
His research focuses on the underlying pathophysiology of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. He also has taken an active role in the development of the new curriculum at the medical school.
