Summary
- I am a board-certified vascular surgeon and board-eligible cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive experience treating complex disease including heart failure, thoracic malignancy, and peripheral vascular disease including the full spectrum of aortic disease. My primary professional goal is to combine cardiovascular open surgical techniques with endovascular therapies to provide the best treatment for my patients. The single most important professional achievement I would like to attain in my career is an excellent reputation: I want to be known as a talented, reliable, and safe doctor. My secondary goals are to reduce patient suffering, mortality and cost through innovation. I plan to achieve these goals by developing novel cardiovascular devices and therapies, improving systems of care delivery through quality improvement initiatives, and influencing administrative funding as a member of public and private advisory committees when appropriate.
