Summary

• I attended Vanderbilt University, majoring in nursing and German and earned my BSN in 1975. After graduation I worked in Medical-Surgical acute care nursing, Industrial nursing and Vocational Education in New Jersey; Rehabilitative Consulting and Home Care nursing in Minneapolis, MN; Home Care nursing, Wound Care, Allergy and Asthma Care, and School nursing in south Florida. In 2004, I returned to school at Florida International University in Miami, FL where I received my MSN, specializing in Pediatrics. I worked at EZ Peds in Pembroke Pines with Dr. Mario Zambrano, then joined Dr. Renato Berger's private practice (we are now the All Better Pediatric Group) in March/2007. I enjoy all “ages and stages”, but have particular knowledge in the area of allergies and asthma, attending ongoing continuing educational program/updates and am a member of the Allergy and Asthma Special Interest Group of NAPNAP. I also teach the Pediatric course to the FNP students at FAU and am very interested in developmental issues. I co-wrote and published an article in The Journal of Pediatric Health Care in 2006, entitled: “The role of the nurse practitioner in an individualized education plan and coordination of care for the child with Asperger's Syndrome”. I love traveling with my husband, teaching Bible Study, and spending time with my 3 grown children.
