She started and now is the Medical Director of the premier Multidisciplinary Limb Amputation Prevention Program in the region. She received her medical degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine did her rotating internship at The Union Memorial Hospital and residency in Anesthesiolgy and Critical Care Medicine at the John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD where she was the first female DO Chief Resident
    In the Department. In 2008she contracted necrotizing fasciitis of her right (dominant) hand and had multiple surgeries, ICU stays and survived a massive pulmonary embolism. In 2009 she entered a Family Medicine Residency at Kent Hospital in Warwick RI and was also Chief Resident there. She then completed a one year Fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. She stayed on at Kent as Fellowship program director and interim director of the Wound Recovery Center until taking the position as Medical Director at Roper Wound Care in 2017. She is an Internationally known expert in Wound Medicine and surgery and has spoke all over the world. She is an author of numerous articles, book chapters and posters . She was an editor in chief at StatPearls and is on multiple Boards. She is past President of the American Osteopathic Board of Occupational and Preventive Medicine. She is currently working toward her MBA . She is CEO of Wound Management Experts of the Carolinas LLC, which is a medico legal consulting firm. She also speaks multiple languages, including Spanish. She treats all of her patients like family and deeply respects and honors the dignity of all people who come to her for help.
