Marshall Hoffman, MD, is a Navy Internal Medicine physician based in Bethesda, MD. He completed his medical education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and trained in Internal Medicine at the National Capital Consortium. Dr. Hoffman's military medicine career includes over a decade spent overseas in various roles. He served as a Navy flight surgeon in Japan, led the medical department for Carrier Air Wing FIVE, and deployed on aircraft carriers out of Japan. He was the head of the internal medicine department at US Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan, and the director of research services at Naval Medical Research Unit SOUTH in Peru. Currently, he is the Officer in Charge at the Navy Bloodborne Infection Management Center, where he administers policies related to HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C within the Navy and Marine Corps. He holds experience in internal medicine, flight medicine, healthcare administration, and biomedical research. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
