Summary
- Dr. Mark Williams is a highly experienced and well trained orthopedic surgeon having graduated from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 1987. He completed residency in Miami, FL followed by fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery in Los Angeles. Dr. Williams has extensive experience in hand surgery as well. Outside of his orthopaedic practice, he has had the great pleasure of serving the people of Florida as a 5 time governor appointed commissioner on the Florida Athletic Commission (formerly known as the Florida State Boxing Commission for 14 years until rolling off in August 2022, the last 10 years of which his commission peers elected him annually to serve as FSBC's chairperson. This commission was responsible for regulating both professional and amateur MMA, kickboxing and boxing throughout Florida. Before recently relocating back to California, he also worked as a court appointed Expert Medical Advisor (EMA) for Florida's workman's compensation system. He is currently working in a similar capacity in CA as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME).
