- Mark Villalon, MD is an interventional cardiologist who believes that the best way to achieve optimal cardiovascular health is through preventive measures (e.g. diet, exercise, cholesterol/blood pressure management). He specializes in the management of complex coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease, in addition to general cardiology (e.g. heart failure, atrial fibrillation). Dr. Villalon earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed his internship, residency, and cardiovascular fellowship at Boston University Medical Center, before completing subspecialty training in interventional cardiology at UCSF Medical Center. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, outstanding clinician awards, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. When Dr. Villalon is not seeing patients, he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his wife and their young children.
