Summary
- Mark A. Kelley, M.D. is a physician educator at Massachusetts General Hospital and a senior lecturer at Harvard Medical School. Trained as a pulmonary and critical care physican, he was a professor and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was the lead physician in development of its Health System. He subsequently was Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for the Henry Ford Health System in Michigan. Dr. Kelley later served as an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University, and a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School.
Dr. Kelley’s research interests have included pulmonary embolus diagnosis, critical care delivery and quality, physician leadership and medical economics. He recently served as a Board Member of the Joint Commission, which accredits hospitals and other health care organizations. Dr. Kelley is a Master of the American College Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicans. A former journalist, he was also awarded an Emmy for television production.
