  • Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

    Dr. Chofla has also given back to others as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California Davis Medical Center and School of Medicine. Passionate about using the latest technological advances to reach all California communities, Dr. Chofla founded Empathy Therapy to deliver full statewide telehealth by providing psychiatric medical treatment and counseling.

    Utilizing over 26 years of counseling experience, Dr. Chofla believes we all have the capacity for growth and healing at any age. As a family and community psychiatrist, he is confident attending to geriatric patients, adults, teenagers, and children. He performs respectful psychotherapy with empathy in addition to careful medication management. With a non-judgmental approach and appreciation for cross-cultural dynamics, he also believes confidentiality is paramount in treatment.
