Summary
- After 45 years of clinical practice I no longer perform spine surgery or see clinic patients. I am an Active Professor, Chairman Emeritus of U Miami Department of Orthopaedics and Director of Miami Center for Orthopaedic Research and Education (Miami CORE). Duties as Director of Miami CORE include fundraising for and managing clinical and basic musculoskeletal research and directing the Mark D Brown U Miami CME accredited Orthopaedic Grand Rounds series. My continued research interests center on degenerative diseases of the spine; including, low back pain, disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis and mechanical instability of the spine. I published several books: Intradiscal Therapy, Chymopapain or Collagenase, Conquer Back and Neck Pain, and Roy and Carmela, A WWII Love Story; as well as numerous peer reviewed scientific papers, medical articles, and edited symposia. my website markdavidbrownbooks.com
