Summary
- I am a gastroenterologist sub specializing in interventional endoscopic procedures with a special interest in Third Space Endoscopy. After completing general gastroenterology fellowship training, I continued on to advanced endoscopy fellowship. After practicing for a couple of years, I decided to travel to Tokyo, Japan for additional training in ESD to hone those skills.
My specialties include pancreatic disease, biliary tract disease, pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, surgical endoscopy and endoscopic management of obesity and GERD. I perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoluminal stent placement, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), complex polypectomy, and endoscopic treatment of obesity with intragastric balloon placement and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG). My clinical and research interests include device innovation and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures. I remain dedicated to my community and committed to teaching and research. Some of my research has been presented at national and international conferences, published in numerous high-impact journals and received the national scholar award.
