My career interests are varied. I am a formally trained anti-oppression educator and have been performing trainings for over 10-years. My career focus is using an anti-oppression lens in approaching womxn's health to address the maternal mortality crisis in the United States and abroad. Additional career goals include womxn's health focusing on comprehensive Ob/Gyn care, contraception access, and family planning. I am especially interested in working with medically oppressed communities in both public health and medicine to improve outcomes. I am involved with global health initiatives and have worked in refugee camps and work closely with my Central American partners in standardizing Ob/Gyn resident education to be evidence-based. I am passionate about work in global health and welcome collaboration of all kinds. I come from an atypical route to medicine and find that my background gives me unique insight and perspective to my patient care, research, and career goals.
