Summary

  • I completed my residency in General Surgery at the Metro Group Hospitals in Chicago. My professional interest in Surgical Critical Care led me to pursue a fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
I began practicing General Surgery in 2013 and quickly learned that as a female Surgeon I attracted a large population of female patients. To provide comprehensive surgical care, I advanced my training and expertise in Breast Surgery. I am now a member of American Society of Breast Surgeons and certified in Oncoplastic (Hidden Scar) Breast Surgery. As the research continues to offer new developments in the field of Breast and General Surgery, I update my practice to reflect the current standards of care. One of my passions is surgical education. I am on staff at several teaching hospitals, where I have the privilege of training our future surgeons. I currently serve as a Site Director at Swedish Covenant Hospital for the Amita Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago General Surgery Residency Program. I also continue to teach ATLS to the providers interested in caring for adult trauma victims.

My goal is to provide the highest quality of surgical service both in General and Breast Surgery to the community of the north side of Chicago. Compassion, empathy, and partnership with my patients are the pillars on which I base my care. It is my objective to work with my patients towards a successful recovery through collaboration and mutual respect.
