Dr. Maria Ofreneo is a pediatric pulmonologist based in San Jose, CA, with extensive experience in treating conditions such as pediatric asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, ventilator dependence, sleep disordered breathing, etc. She completed her medical education at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency training at Univ of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She further specialized through fellowships in pediatric pulmonology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and at Children's Hospital and Research Center-Oakland. Dr. Ofreneo has been practicing Pediatric Pulmonology since 2000, initially at Bay Area’s Children’s Hospital Oakland and at California Pacific Medical Center. She is currently the chief of Pediatric Pulmonology Division at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA.
