Summary

  • I am a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with a passion for improving the well-being of children who have social, emotional, or developmental challenges. I incorporate assessment, therapy, and medications as a means to increase happiness in the lives of children and adolescents. I use a variety of therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or supportive therapy; using the approach that works best for each child’s developmental level.

I have specialized training working with families of children with developmental disabilities, such as autism or intellectual disability. I also utilize sign language to communicate with families who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

I enjoy working in a community setting where I can integrate care by having school visits, team meetings, and consultations to pediatric specialists. I believe "Y'all means all" and strive to equitable provide evidence-based care.

I have an excitement for working as a team, teaching medical students and residents in our outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry clinics. As a fellow traveler through life, I value being present, connected, and compassionate.
