Dr. Marcene McVay Gillam is a pediatric surgeon in Springdale, AR and is affiliated with Arkansas Children's Northwest. She received her medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 2004 followed by residency and fellowship. She is a veteran of the USAF. She is experienced in all aspects of pediatric general and thoracic surgery, and has a special interest in neonatal/congenital surgery, pectus/chest wall deformities, and minimally invasive surgical procedures. She was a charter member of the medical staff at ACNW, and under her direction, the trauma program attained state designation and redesignation. As the founder of Kid Gloves Surgical Specialists, she continues to guide growth for pediatric specialty care in Northwest Arkansas, and maintains an academic appointment with UAMS as well as active involvement in national surgical organizations.
