Overview of Dr. Nishimura

I graduated from the Jichi Medical University, Japan in 1997 and completed a residency in internal medicine and surgery at the Japanese Red Cross Kumamoto Hospital in Kumamoto, Japan. I also did a fellowship at Jichi Medical University, Japanese Red Cross Kumamoto Hospital, Cancer Institute Hospital, and advanced fellowship at University of California Irvine Medical Center.
I am an international expert in endoscopic submucosal (ESD) dissection for all GI tract (esophagus, duodenum, stomach and colorectal), total 1700 ESD cases in my life (950 cases in Japan/ 750 cases in the US) since 2002.
I have been working at Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Service, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center since 2018 to provide consultation in advanced/therapeutic endoscopic management of gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary disorders, including ESD, RFA, Double Balloon, ERCP, and EUS-FNA, EUS-AXIOS, and interventional EUS.
