Summary

  • With experience in holistic care practices, critical/intensive care, internal medicine, and urgent care, I have seen a variety of cases that allow me to do what I do best. That is, to build a well-informed medical strategy and care plan for my patients to ensure they can realistically and effectively achieve necessary treatments, all while engaging with a compassionate listener. I am often told that my smile is contagious and uncommon for many providers in a doctor's office, at the patient bedside, or with my team. I hope you find my approach - and smile - a nice change.

About Maghan: An experienced Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Maghan began her medical career while still in college as a medical technician at her hometown hospital, working her way into cardiac surgery and acute care units as a Registered Nurse (RN) and technician. Following completion of her graduate work at The George Washington University (GWU), she worked at a holistic primary care practice providing a variety of patients (pediatric, adult, geriatric) with focused, holistic assessments and treatment plans. Today, she treats patients in a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at George Washington University Hospital, one of the nation's best and respected research and level 1 trauma institutions. Maghan is also an ardent supporter and advocate for autonomous nursing practice, continuing the fight for autonomy with other passionate individuals to further important legislative efforts on behalf of all nursing specialties. Outside of her engaging work with patients and community, she spends time with her husband, three kids, and pug at their home in Northern Virginia.
