- Magdi Grant Alexander is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has been practicing the full breadth of general surgery for over 30 years. He is considered one of the top surgeons in the region. Dr. Alexander has been an integral member of the surgical teaching faculty at Huntington Hospital/Cedars Siani Affiliate for the past 25 years. He has been active in administrative positions and is currently the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at USC Arcadia. Formerly, he was the Chairman of Credentials and General Surgery section Chair at Huntington as well as being a current permanent member of the Quality Management Department at Huntington Hospital/Cedars Sinai Aff. He is also the former Section Chief of General / Vascular Surgery/ Thoracic divisions at Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Alexander is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society for Gastro Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). His has a wide surgical focus involving expertise in Robotic Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Vascular surgery, and Oncological surgery.
Dr. Alexander has received multiple acknowledgements from national and regional medical associations: including the coveted Surgical Teaching Faculty Award, Regional Physician of the Year Award, Pasadena Top Doctor, America’s Top Surgeon Award, and the Patient’s Choice Award 5 year in a row honoree.
