- Lynne E. Wagoner, MD, is Director of Heart Failure at Mercy Heart Institute in Cincinnati and at Mercy Hospitals in Fairfield, Anderson, and West, all in Ohio. Dr Wagoner received her MD from East Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed her medical residency and fellowship in cardiology research at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, East Carolina School of Medicine, in Greenville. At the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City, she completed additional fellowships in cardiology, cardiology transplant and heart failure, and cardiology research. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation. She also has expertise in the treatment and diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Dr Wagoner is a former Associate Professor of Cardiology and Medical Director of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at the University of Cincinnati.
A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr Wagoner is an active researcher. She has been principal investigator on numerous clinical trials in the fields of heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and prevention.
Dr Wagoner has authored or coauthored book chapters as well as more than 140 articles, abstracts, and review articles published in peer-reviewed journals such as American Heart Journal, Circulation, and The New England Journal of Medicine.
