Since October 2009, Dr. Ruess has been a staff pediatric radiologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She primarily works via tele-radiology during afternoon and evening hours. Most of her clinical work is interpretation of emergency department, urgent care and clinic (musculoskeletal and chest) radiographs as well as inpatient exams and urgent and emergent US and body CT. She is the medical director for general radiology and the physician leader for structured and standardized reporting. Many of her scientific presentations and publications were projects undertaken to mentor trainees on the processes of research or quality improvement and publication. Her current academic interests are in quality improvement and scientific writing and editing.
