Overview of Dr. Gorenstein

Dr. Lyall Gorenstein is a board certified thoracic surgeon based in New York, specializing in adult general thoracic surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, thoracic surgical oncology, pectus excavatum and chest wall abnormalities. He completed his medical education at the University of Toronto and further specialized with a fellowship in thoracic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has extensive experience managing conditions like hiatal hernia, esophageal diseases, lung cancer, mediastinal tumors, pectus excavatum, and hyperhidrosis. Dr. Gorenstein has contributed to several publications, with research interests in areas such as malignant mesothelioma, lung cancer, esophageal diseases, esophageal cancer, hyperhidrosis, pectus deformities and treatment for anastomotic leaks. He has been recognized by Castle Connolly annually as a top doctor and holds a Fellow (FACS) designation from the American College of Surgeons.
