Summary
- Dr. Macias grew up in southern California. He joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and made the rank of sergeant as an avionics technician. Utilizing his GI bill, he attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for his undergraduate studies.
Dr. Macias then attended the UCLA School of Medicine, followed by graduating from residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Mayo Clinic. He went on to complete 2 additional advanced training fellowships, rounding out his 9 years of extensive training. The first fellowship was in microvascular reconstructive surgery at University of Pennsylvania, followed by a facial and body cosmetic surgery fellowship in the USC (University of Southern California) Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship.
He is the Aesthetic Program Director and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC where he teaches facial plastic and body procedures to residents and fellows.
