He received his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine, and trained at SUNY Syracuse, as well as the Cleveland Clinic foundation. He has been in practice 28 years. The first 21 years in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by six years in Florida, where he was the chief of cardiac surgery at Shorepoint Health in Port Charlotte.
