Summary

• Dr. La Colla spends the vast majority of his time in the operating room taking care of adult surgical patients. Besides his areas of subspecialty training, his clinical interests include intravenous anesthesia (TIVA/TCI), hemodynamics, and point-of-care ultrasound and their application to anesthesiology and the perioperative care of patients. He has performed clinical research mainly in regional and intravenous anesthesia in different patient populations and clinical settings and he is interested in investigating new interventions with the potential to create value (i.e. improve quality and/or decrease costs) during the current shift towards patient-centered, value-based healthcare.
  
  Dr. La Colla is Board Certified in Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology), Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (National Board of Echocardiography), Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology), and Clinical Informatics (American Board of Preventive Medicine).
