Summary

  • I am the Director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Program at Hasbro Children's Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

I graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Padua, Italy, and I completed my training first at the University of Padua (obtaining the Italian board certification in Pediatrics with special qualification in Pediatric Neurology with honors) and then at Children’s National Medical Center, where I graduated from the Child neurology Fellowship and Neuroscience Research Fellowship, before joining the National Institutes of Health, where I completed an Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship. My research is focused on investigating the role of viral and inflammatory mechanisms in the pathophysiology of epilepsy and has been supported by the American Epilepsy Society and Epilepsy Foundation of America. I serve as Section Editor for Neurology Clinical Practice.
