- I am a board certified pediatrician specializing in pediatric endocrinology. I completed my training at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio for my pediatric endocrine fellowship. I graduated pediatrics residency at Beaumont Children's Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. I completed medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Ohio). I moved to Toledo in Fall of 2016, and recently returned to work Spring 2017 after having a baby. My husband Dr Andrew Assenmacher also practices orthopedic surgery in Monroe, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio. My professional interests include disorders of growth, puberty, diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary. I have attended diabetes camp for 3 years for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
