Summary
- I am a board certified nephrologist, recently retired from clinical practice. But my interest in medicine continues as I contribute to ward rounds, perform administrative duties at dialysis facilities, remain teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and after so many years of clinical medicine I have entered basic bench translational research with my renal colleagues at Winthrop University Hospital. I feel that I have completed "the loop" (not the loop of Henle), and it has been a wonderful ride. Interactions with my colleagues over the years has been a very satisfying and enjoyable experience -- strengthening relationships and creating long lasting friendships.
