Summary
- Dr. Eichel is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where he also completed his urology residency. Dr. Eichel also completed 2 years of fellowship training in laparoscopy, endourology, and robotic surgery at the University of California, Irvine. Currently Dr. Eichel serves as chief of the division of urology and associate chair of the Department of Surgery for Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Eichel has published numerous book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles pertaining to laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He has taught numerous post graduate courses on advanced endourology and minimally invasive urologic surgery and has been the recipient of numerous teaching and academic awards. Dr. Eichel is certified by the American Board of Urology and serves as an expert reviewer for Urologic Oncology, The Journal of Endourology and Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Locally Dr. Eichel appears regularly as a lecturer and supporter for Us Too Rochester as well as Camp Good Days.
