  • Dr. Lois Ramondetta is a Full Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine where she provides surgical and chemotherapy directed patient care as well as resident and fellow training for all gynecologic cancers. Dr. Ramondetta also specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries.
    Dr. Ramondetta is passionate about building a network that will eliminate and eradicate HPV related disease in Texas and beyond. In this effort, she is a co-lead for MD Anderson Cancer Center HPV Cancer Prevention effort as well as serving on the American Cancer Society (ACS) HPV Roundtable, Texas HPV Texas Steering Committees.
    Dr. Ramondetta has co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Her research interests include cancer prevention, clinical trials, supportive care, and the effect of psychological coping style and stress on cancer and quality of life. In 2008, she co-wrote "THE LIGHT WITHIN" with Deborah Sills, PhD published by William Morrow that explores the sanctity of the doctor patient relationship. To better care for patients, she became boarded in Hospice and Palliative Care in 2010. Uniting these interests, she initiated clinical trials targeting the adrenergic pathway and stress responses in gynecologic cancer patients. Importantly, she incorporates stress reduction/wellness techniques into her patient’s lives. In 2017 she became a 200hr RYS certified Yoga Teacher and is exploring new methods to further enhance her patient-centered holistic practice
