- Dr. Logan D'Souza is a specialist in skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, he attended the University of Oklahoma as a National Merit Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in microbiology in 2006, and he completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2010. During medical school he received several accolades from his peers and professors, including membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a junior medical student for academic excellence, serving as elected President of his class, and membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society for attitudes and behaviors of the most humanistic physicians. After medical school, Dr. D'Souza completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of Connecticut Health Center, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He continued at UConn for an extra ACGME-accredited fellowship in Dermatologic Oncology and Micrographic Surgery, gaining subspecialty training in several professional areas of interest - Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. During his overall postgraduate training, Dr. D'Souza trained with 4 fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeons with a combined 4 decades of experience and he performed over 2,000 supervised skin surgeries. Dr. D'Souza has been active in research with original articles accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and JAMA Dermatology, and he has also presented at national annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. D'Souza is currently a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and he is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
